This was a lawsuit filed against the former officers and directors of a property and casualty insurance company which was placed in liquidation. The case involved allegations of gross negligence and breach of fiduciary duty on the part of the former directors and officers, primarily with respect to a shell company which was set up to misdirect funds from the insurance company. There were also claims relating to the defendants’ handling of other transactions which resulted in losses. The case settled for the sum of $2 million.
